As we near the countdown to the New Year, we revisit some of the memorable moments from 2015 on the Gem of the Norfolk coast.

Thanks to organizers and volunteers it’s been another successful run for Cromer Carnival, Cromer and Sheringham Crab and Lobster Festival and COAST arts festival. An acknowledgement to so many solo achievements also, that underlines Norfolk’s ever resilient community spirit. It’s not possible to cram so much in a ten minute video but I hope the presentation is a salute to all. Former England cricket captain Andrew “Freddie” Flintoff visits Cromer
Former England cricket captain Andrew “Freddie” Flintoff drew the crowds on Cromer Pier. He and his TV co-star, extreme cyclist Rob Penn, spent several hours on the pier which was crowded with holidaymakers. The pair fished for crabs over the side and Mr Flintoff chatted to fans and posed for their selfie photos.
Charlotte Crane is Miss Cromer 2015
Judges chose Cromer student Charlotte Crane, 18, for the Miss Cromer title 2015, with 23-year-old student Sophie Bernard-Smith and 18-year-old customer assistant Danielle Dawson as her senior attendants.

Cromer location for Television drama starring David Walliams
David Walliams, visited Cromer for an Agatha Christie BBC production. He’s seen here being presented a take-away by staff from Breakers cafe in Cromer as he took a few minutes break from filming outside the Hotel de Paris. Norfolk is no stranger to links with the celebrated crime writer.
Cromer Twinning visit to Nidda, Germany. Fall of the Berlin Wall: Anniversary Celebrations
Rain didn’t dampen spirits during a visit to Point Alpha in Germany, where representatives from across Europe gathered. The event was part of a twinning visit to Nidda. Seminar’s were translated into English and French with a chance to ask questions. Mayor, Hans-Peter Seum opened the event. Hervé Mariton member of the National Assembly of France representing the Drôme department (Crest) was also present.
Bollywood Movie on Cromer Pier
Cromer pier was host to a spectacular Bollywood movie shoot on Friday. Unsuspecting visitors and locals were treated to vibrant dance routines and action packed sequences from the forthcoming feature.
Directors, choreographers and producers transformed the pavilion end of the pier into an open movie set for a movie called Housefull 3 . People took their usual stroll along the boards and the whole atmosphere was quite relaxed, even though initially it was kept under wraps.
Housefull 3 is a 2016 Indian comedy film written and directed by director duo Sajid-Farhad and produced by Sajid Nadiadwala. It is the sequel to 2012 comedy film, Housefull 2 and the third installment of the Housefull film series. It stars Akshay Kumar, Ritesh Deshmukh, Abhishek Bachchan, Jacqueline Fernandez, Nargis Fakhri and Lisa Haydon in the lead roles. The film is scheduled to release on 3 June 2016.
