Christmas Raffle tickets are now on sale, in aid of Cromer Christmas lights, that are organized by volunteers and a dedicated team. First prize is a television kindly donated once again by Bennetts, there are currently more than twenty prizes all kindly donated by local businesses. Tickets are £1 each with every penny going directly towards paying for next years lights.
The team was at the Co-op on Saturday 16th and will also be at Budgens on Saturday 30th November, tickets can also be purchased from Bennetts on Holt Road, Randalls Electrical on Church street or at Wills Plaice (East Runton chip shop)
The draw will take place at the St. John’s Ambulance Hall on Bond street at 11am on Sunday 8th December.
This year the switch on of the Christmas Lights will be the final act of the Christmas Lights Festival. The Festival will start on Wednesday 4th December with the Christmas tree festival in the Parish church and the Nativity Festival in the Methodist church, these will run until the evening of Saturday 7th December, with the switch on taking place at 5.30pm.
On Saturday 7th December there will be a charity market in the parish church, with entertainment being supplied by various local groups, and a craft market in the parish hall. There will be entertainment out on the streets, with rides in High street. Quite a few of the local shops and businesses will be holding special events, the Red Lion are holding a Christmas Fete.
The Chamber of Trade have organised an Angel Trail which involves collecting stickers from 32 businesses starting on December 7 and finishing on December 21.
The switch on event will start in Church Street at 4.30, with all sorts of entertainment, including a performance by the members of the Christmas Seaside Special.
