BBC Radio Norfolk presenter, Nick Conrad triumphantly crossed the finish line on Cromer Pier, after a grueling four day marathon challenge, to raise money for Pudsey. He started his challenge in Hunstanton on Monday 14 November and finished in Cromer on Thursday 17 November.
Weather presenter Elizabeth Rizzini joined Nick on the last 13 miles of his Coastal Challenge for BBC Children in Need, covering sand dunes and rugged terrain. This, the fifth year of his efforts was accompanied by trainer Neil Featherby, from the North Norfolk Beach Runners and other local enthusiasts.
“I have been joined by different people every day which has been fantastic,” said Nick, “It made up for the blisters” He admitted the challenge was tougher then he thought, however, support on route was overwhelming.
Cromer pier’s festive cast joined fellow broadcasters, fans and dignitaries to cheer the runners across the finish line.
