Cromer carnival’s “royal family” has been extended after the selection of two junior attendants.
Cromer Academy students, Allyse Cook, 13, and Tasmin Beshir, 12, were chosen from 17 entrants aged 12 to 16 at the cottage pub last night. It was one of the biggest attended competitions in recent years underlining the growing popularity of the UK’s third largest carnival.
They will join recently picked Miss Cromer Hayley Massingham and her senior attendant Erin Holroyd during August’s carnival events, that will include a display from the world famous Red Arrows.
The prince and princess aged between seven and 11, will be chosen at the town’s community hall in Garden Street from 3pm on Sunday, which will complete Cromer’s Royal family for 2014.
