Councillor Tony Nash is New Mayor for Cromer

Councillor Tony Nash, was appointed new Mayor for Cromer last night at North Lodge as David Pritchard’s term in office came to an end.

Mr Nash, a retired policeman, took the leading role at the council chamber and thanked Mr Pritchard for his successful year in office.

Speaking at the meeting he said: “I find it a huge privilege to be sitting back in this chair. I never thought I would be doing it and I appreciate your confidence in me.”

Mr Pritchard, who will chair the council’s works and general committee said he had a memorable year.

He said: “It has been a wonderful experience and I have enjoyed every moment. I will remember it for the rest of my life.”

Councillor Tim Adams, who has been deputy mayor the last four weeks was appointed deputy mayor.
