Record breaking crowds lined the promenade to welcome the New Year in spectacular style. Thousands of spectators travelled from across the region to view a huge fireworks display on Cromer’s award winning pier.
The spectacle was mirrored on a calm North sea and the water was ablaze with an array of dazzling colour. Clive Casburn, of Great Massingham-based Première Fireworks delivered a breathtaking show.
Jim Bond, chairman of the fireworks organising committee said he was absolutely delighted with the turn out, he added “It’s a good display, for nothing, and a nice family evening that’s on early enough to take the kids along.”
Volunteers were out in numbers collecting for next years display and local charities.
Photographers have until January 14 to submit their Cromer fireworks pictures with a top competition prize of a 40in flat-screen TV donated by Hughes Plus. Visit cromertown.org
